It's broke guv.....

You all know that I am fortunate most mornings to be taken to the beach by my people for a good run around, something I look forward to. Well this morning I got them up and Mr Stop'it took me outside for my morning "hair do" (my brush down) whilst the Mrs got ready. I got in the back of the "Green Meanie" all ready to set off and when Mr Stop'it got in to start it up there was just no noise at all!
It was dead!
Now I know he is quite good with cars but I thought I had better give him a hand analysing the problem.
My diagnosis, flat battery!
So we had to all push the car into the garage so he could put the charger on whilst we went out in the "Blue tin box" on wheels........

Meet my new neighbour

Guess what folks?  I have got a new next door neighbour. Unfortunately there is a fence between us so we can not get to play together, but we can have a good old bark at each other. I have not yet found out his name, and as you can see he is still very young, but seems bright enough. He is not as lucky as me though, despite being allowed to run about in his garden sometimes, he has to perform "chicken guard duties", so that means he gets tied up. Still he is fed and looks very well I think.....

His play time......

The last few days have been quite warm and all the grass in the garden has grown ever so quickly so Mr Stop'it decided to give it another mow this weekend. He tells Mrs Stop'it its lots of hard work, but I know otherwise, he really likes playing with the grass eating tractor cutting machine really !
I'll just sit in here and watch, keeping out of the way in case the grass eating machine gets my tail !

The sun is out and its lizard time again. Now these humans do not understand the fun I can get by chasing lizards around the garden. Unfortunately this one got away and ran under this pot, so I have to stay guard until it reappears.
Remember a Lizard is not just for life, its for dinner !!!!!!

Poison No2

My people always take my anti poison injection kit with us when I go out on walks, but if for any reason any of my canine friends  were to be poisoned and a kit was not available it is very important to act very fast.......you may not have the time to get to a vet, as I said before some poisons (like the type laid down here in Greece by morons) would kill me in 5-10 minutes!

Poisons act in different ways, but here in Greece the stuff put down results in frothing at the mouth, loss of balance, massive convulsions and loss of bladder & bowel control.

It is absolutely vital to make me vomit (except of course in the case of corrosive poisons) . Salt water "may" work, but far better would be a mixture of plain old household mustard! (yuk).....Squirty type ready made is available in most grocery stores, and there may be one much nearer than the vets surgery....
Another option is a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide, again that pharmacy may be nearer than a vet, one way or another you have to get my canine friends to swallow it..................
Of course you still need to get to the vet, but this action may just save a canine life.
