Ou la la....

During the ferry trip back  home I met a French Poodle called Beverley. Like me she was allowed to sleep on deck with a bed of her own.  Now I always thought French Poodles were petite.......but Beverley despite being still only a babe was GIANT !

I am sailing, I am sailing.....

I am sailing, I am sailing home again across the sea......well in true Rod Stewart style I can sing also with my "gruff voice".  Mind you I don't think the Guv realised I was singing, he just thinks I'm barking.......barking mad sometimes!

Just had a thought, do you think Rod Stewart was  born on a ferry?  'Cos there are lots of humans on this ferry with the surname "Stewart"....I seen it on their badges.  Another point why do all humans with surname Stewart dress the same?
Oh well.......mind you their names may have been "Steward".....
I think my eyes are tired!

Ferry time.......

So with human kennel in tow the "Poppymobile" headed for the port of Bari in Italy and we are ready to set off on the final sector of my European tour back to Greece. For all my canine friends out there make sure you do "what us dogs do" before you get to the ferry port as there is absolutely no where to "go".  Sometimes some of your humans just do not think about us dogs!

The last stop in Italy

I was glad that after the site we had to stay at Riccione the Guv had planned to stay at the next site, a short drive from Bari on the trip to the UK. He had checked it was OK for me and it would be open in September.  Whilst it was a bit run down on the actual camp ground, it was clean and had shady forests between the camp site and beach that would be great for me to run about in. What's more it was only a small site with room for about 30 caravans.....

In the evening of course I could have the run of the beach to myself..woof,woof

I hate Italian sites

I definitely hate Italian camp sites! After our trip through France and staying at some great sites this was a nightmare. My people were far from happy as the site was real busy and none too clean. Unfortunately nearly all the sites in this part of Italy were so big the Guv had little choice.

It was a shame really as the welcome we received was first class and whats more the girl at the reception gave my people a present for me, a pink plastic bone with a roll of "doggy do" bags inside.

The site had its own park for me to play in, but I had to wait my turn as the black mutt got there first....and I'm not sharing with him!
