Boss Dog.....

So my people take me out today to their normal morning coffee spot and I find out they have arranged to meet friends.  Now I have met these people a few times before but I never knew they also cared for canines......

Boy was I excited when I saw them (the dogs not the humans!), however after a more formal greeting I thought I had better lay the law down at just who was to be boss dog around here!

Visiting Greek strays.....

Over the last couple of weeks I have not really had a lot to tell you guys. Life is "as normal" with either very early beach walks or a walk through the olive groves with the "Guv" each day.  The rest of the day I tend to spend "chilling out" as its really hot here in summer.....

However yesterday was different!  My people met a couple of friends and we went to the new venue of the KAWS (Kalamata Animal Welfare Society), now located not far from where we live.  Well I have have never seen so many of my canine friends that have been either mistreated or "dumped" so happy.  What a fantastic job these people are doing looking after my fellow canines.

There were lots and lots of puppies I was allowed to meet, (as I have none of my own), as well as over 70 other canines.  As you will see from the photos they have lots of room to run about and can rely on a square meal a day.......

I know I am one of the lucky ones, with a family that love me and look after me, some of these dogs will also be lucky and go to caring homes either here or in Germany, but they need your help NOW..... The venue is new and far better than the previous place, but there is still need to build shelters etc for the winter, and indeed for more shade in the summer months.

I allowed my people to take a lot of my food to share with them, now you can't send food but perhaps you can help in another way....

Have a look at:-

I'll check it out....

As you can guess now I am back at my pad it's all back to normal.  Most mornings the Guv and I go to the beach for my early run-a-about, however every now and then we go and check a friends house for security.  That gives me a few good places to have a sniff around and see all is OK.

The other morning the Guv was looking for the water meter, he walked up and down the lane and despite me helping him by also having a sniff about we failed.  I did run up the bank opposite and tried to tell him he had to follow, but did he listen ....NO!
