Only a Lidl way today

So this morning it was a beach walk at Bouka beach and then off shopping with my people.  At least this time they were able to shop much nearer home as the new Lidl opened last week.  The previous Lidl on this site was closed and demolished last September.  I'm not allowed inside but the Guv told me it was very nice, very clean and very modern.  The photo the Guv took inside shows the rear half of the store only, so as you can see it's a VERY BIG LIDL.....

New neighbour

Normal walk in the olive groves this morning and back home to have a chat with my new neighbour.
Well someone in Greece has to talk to Turkey !

Out and about.....

Morning walks lately have been through the olive groves not far from my pad. The farmers finished picking olives some time back but due to the weather in the latter part of last year the harvest has not been good.  I heard the Guv say that one of his friends had only 25 kilo of olives against an average of 400 kilo in previous years!

What's more important is that the Misses could not prepare her normal mass of Kalamata eating olives as there were virtually none to be had. Good job she has a stash from previous years!

I can do anything better than them....

Anything they can do I can do better,
I can do anything better than them!

So during the walk in the olive groves early this morning the Guv told me I had to learn how to put birds up in the air (huh as if I did not know).  As it's so easy for me when they are on the ground, and I heard the Guv tell the Misses once about how goats climb trees, I thought I'd have a bit of fun and get the birds out of the trees also !

I'm safe.....

A good sunny day day here in Greece so after my beach run-a-bout this morning it was off to Kalamata to do some shopping with the Misses and the Guv.  As you can see when I travel in the "poppymobile" I get the rear seat all to myself and a special seat belt harness for my safety.  It does not stop me barking in the Guv's ear though when I see other canines.......and he hates me doing that !

At last.........

WOOF...."the sun has got it's hat on,woof, woof, woof, wooray!

Yes I feel much happier today, a walk on the beach early morning, shopping with my people and now back home for a good bark-a-bout and rest in the sun.

It's still bad weather...

Yes, as you guess I'm still bored!
I can't recall the last time we had such a wet winter here in Greece,
it not only has affected the olive harvest but it's also affected my getting out and about.

Watch dog...

Not much happening at my pad over the last few days besides the normal beach walk of course and my bark about at the neighbours.  The Misses went again to the human tooth doctor and on the way back home the Guv stopped for lunch at the yacht club.  As you can see I kept look out!

Not happy !

My people and I  were on our way to Kalamata this morning as the Misses had to be at the tooth doctor quite early and on passing this gateway the Guv noticed a big parcel.  Now the Guv suspicious as he is realised parcels don't get dumped in gateways like this, especially boxes with holes punched in them.

The poppymobile was swiftly turned around and to our horror our worst fears were realised.....YES, more puppies dumped in a disused gateway at the side of the road.

Our friend who looks after so many stray and unwanted canines was contacted and he came to collect them. All the puppies are sick, and one was dead.  I get very angry at humans who treat my kind like this, I want to see them put in boxes!  (photos taken by our friend)
