Spanners ?

A normal day for me today. After a short walk in Aubeterre-sur-Dronne my people took me to the market in Riberac where the Guv collected a mass of old British spanners.  Not sure if he wanted them so he could work on the old British car he bought or to try and open his wallet!

Still came across these two very nice looking motor bikes, but the Misses would not let me or the Guv on them....

The walk.........

Now I'm back in my French pad the morning walk is not on a beach but through the countryside that surrounds us. At the moment the fields are planted but the crops have not really started to grow. That means I can't run and hide from the Guv in the sunflower fields yet !

Early morning metal birds in the sky, flying so high even I can't hear them. The Guv says their off to Spain or Africa......don't know why because it's nice and sunny here, expecting mid 20's C later today.  Think it will be "Rosie rest and recovery" this afternoon.....

Safe and sound....

Well after days of travel I arrived back at my French pad safe and sound.  For the first evening the Misses and the Guv were invited by our very kind Swedish neighbours to have dinner with them and of course they were very grateful as in the nursery rhyme " Mother went to the cupboard and the cupboard was bare!" Thankfully I did not need a bone though, as the Guv fed me before he went out....

I was not well....

The second stop on our way to my French pad was in Chambery. Once again I have been here before and the Guv likes to use this human kennel as it is yet another place that offers secure parking for the poppymobile and trailer. You see both need a lot of room to park, the poppymobile and trailer that is, not the Guv and the Misses!

In the evening I got taken to the Buffalo Grill by my people. I thought to myself even the Guv could not eat a whole buffalo, surely ?   I disgraced myself though as part way through the evening I felt sick, I did run to a doorway to get out but the door was locked!  Yep, it happened...but the Guv sorted it.

First stop

After leaving the ferry our first stop was in Parma. The Guv always books this human kennel as it offers safe parking for the poppymobile that he says is very important when towing the trailer.

....and as we are regulars there I get well looked after, but I don't get taken into the human's eating room !

Just had to go.....

Well after 21 hours on the ferry I got to see dry land, a place I had been to before. Let me tell you after 21 hours the earth at Ancona was not dry for long !!

I got bored...

So if this ferry journey was going to be so long I'd might as well be comfortable!

Now I'm bored.....how much longer Guv ?

All ship shape...

So now I have arrived at my French pad I can tell you about my journey.  This was the longest sea trip I have ever had as the Guv decided to sail from Patra to Ancona instead of from Igoumenitsa.  This meant I had to keep my legs crossed even longer !

On the way ship's captain decided to make us all practise emergency drill, at the sound of seven short hoots and one long hoot of the ferry's horn I have one long howl myself!

I was told that when humans abandon ship it's women and children first, so being female I thought I'd take position up by the lifeboat ready!

On my way......

Well as you can see I got to go on the adventure as well. Once I'm home in my French pad I'll blog and tell you more about my travels....

Lots of packing !

So after the morning walk through the olive groves the Guv started packing quite a lot of things in both the trailer and the "poppymobile".  Now this amount of packing means only one thing, he's off on a long trip!

I'm going to stay here in case he forgets to pack me !

Daisy, daisy give me your answer do.....

Well another nice warm day here in Greece. I had to have a word with the Guv about all these daisies growing in the garden, not one of them would give me their answer so he had to get them cut down......

Crash, bang, wallop !

Some of my friends have written to me and asked why I have not "blogged" over the last few days. Well there are two reasons really, one is that the Guv has been very busy preparing for our trip and of course I have had to help him...

The other reason, which was far more worrying, is that I have been in hiding! You see we have had some very loud thunder storms, and I hate thunder.....what is more looking at the map today it's not over yet so I'm on my way back to the rain room to hide
